Scope Of Work
Vitea Heights, part of the DAMAC group is developing an island resort in the Maldives archipelago on the south Male Atoll. The Island has an approximate total area of 35.2 ha and will be developed into a luxury resort consisting of bungalows and water villas, high-end amenities and services. The project is located on Bolidhuffaru Reef on the Northern tip of South Male Atoll, at a distance of 17 km South-West of Male. Bolidhuffaru Reef has a length of approximately 2.5 km and a width of 1.5 km. The proposed reclamation limits are located at a distance of 200 m from the edge of the reef. The area has an average seabed level of 0.5 m MSL. NMDC has been awarded the contract for the dredging and reclamation works, beach construction, rock revetment works and jetty construction.
Dredging & Reclamation (400,000 m3), Rock protection works (160,000 tons) and construction of Qauywall structure for Service Port. Works were executed under highly environmental sensitive area & challenging remote area logistically.
